This project of home printmaking without using many specialised materials is an exploration of making my art practice more sustainable. Repeated Covid-19 restrictions between 2020 and 2021 meant that I worked at home and I began to do water-based monotypes without a printing press in my kitchen. As I explored sustainable methods for printmaking, I also wanted the methods I share to be accessible. This project, completed by Azra Ahmad and myself, was made possible by the generous support of the Canada Council for the Arts’ Strategic Innovation Fund.
